The MSA has several subcommittees who have important roles at GKT, browse them below to find out what they do and how you can get involved:
Dignified. Sophisticated. Culturally sensitive.
These are just some of the words that would never be used to describe the GKT Comedy Revue. Nevertheless, this arcane tradition has somehow managed to survive to the year 2016 without – to our knowledge – the GMC or the Daily Mail attempting to shut us down. For three nights each year, the Greenwood theatre is no longer a place where students attempt to stay awake during yet another physiology lecture, but an emporium of laughter, relentless nudity and the worst taste imaginable. Put together by a small cast and an intrepid backstage crew, and headed by a committee of director, musical director and producer, the revue, comprised of sketches, songs, parodies, video and the indomitable Dancing Boys and Dancing Girls, is the one event of the MSA’s social calendar which is not to be missed. We’re well underway for the 2017 show but there is still time if you’d like to get involved – we’re easy to find at freshers’ fairs and the like! This year’s show will be performed on Wednesday 8th, Thursday 9th and Friday 10th November. The trailer and title will be released shortly, but more importantly, tickets will go on sale. These tend to sell out within hours if not minutes – we sold out faster than Beyoncé last year – so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for our publicity. All proceeds from the show go directly to RAG, which means that your laughter will also help some worthy causes. In other words, if you don’t come and see the show then infants will die.
If you’re reading this after Christmas and you’re still hungry for comedy, then fear not. The revue also competes at the United Hospitals Revue in Spring, the contest in which we pit our funniest material against that of the other London medical schools. It’s followed by a night of drink and debauchery, and is always a great evening, so be sure to come along brimming with GKT enthusiasm.
Much love always,
Ania, Ben and Sam

The Final Year Committee organise several key events, including the Grad Ball and the 4th Year Mock OSCE. They are also responsible for yearbooks and are there to help with all of your phase five needs. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org
We are one of the Musical Theatre societies at King’s College, London and every year we put on a show in the Greenwood Theatre in January. The society is open to all students from all years. Every year we give all our proceeds to the RAG charities.
This year we are going to be performing ‘Rent’, with music and lyrics by Jonathan Larson. The society is great fun to be a part of, as well as requiring hard work to put on a great show every year. The entire company meet every Tuesday evening, with extra rehearsals on Friday evenings and Sundays for specific scenes.
The director and producer/s must be studying a medical science, but students from any subject can take part. Auditions for the show take place each September, but there are other chances to get involved back stage in the lead up to the show.
